Thanks MMP! ..and thanks especially to Erik of Zombie Reporting Center for filming and sharing!

Our walk in Ferndale on
10/26/08 - WORLD ZOMBIE DAY
was a great success!

World Zombie Day Poster

At least 183 ZOMBIES (& 2 zombie dogs!) WALKED
(178 of whom were officially registered for the Guinness Book)

Walkers, spectators and photographers managed to bring in
over TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS and
HUNDREDS of pounds of food!

WOW!
(we'll announce the exact amounts when Gleaners lets us know!)

We can't thank everyone enough- especially Amanda Hopkins!
She was the winner of the GRAND PRIZE for most pledges, bringing in a stunning $542.25 in cash & checks for Gleaners! Way to GO, Amanda!!

Amanda won a prize pack valued at around $150! It included gift certificates to The Record Collector, Mother Fletcher's, Detroit Comics and Adornment Deluxe! Also included was a
brand spankin' new copy of the awesome book, "Zombie Movies, The Ultimate Guide," a pack of zombie buttons, and a hat & T-Shirt from the new zombie apocalypse Xbox 360 video game, Left 4 Dead!
She also won a WALK ON PART on Wolfman Mac's Nightmare Sinema! WOW!

Other fun prizes were to be won by random walkers, like more gift certificates from Mother Fletcher's and The Record Collector, prize packs from Detroit Comics & American Pop, a few REALLY kick ass zombie posters from Zombie Reporting Center (and a T-shirt, too!), hats, T-Shirts & posters from Left 4 Dead, & zombie button packs & jugs of blood from ZWD. Along with our grand prize winner Amanda- another lucky winner also won a walk-on spot on Nightmare Sinema!

What a day!
(& it didn't RAIN like it was supposed to, WOO!)

~ ENJOY ~

Huge thanks!
Wolfman Mac of Nightmare Sinema & Tracey of Detroit.MetroMix, thanks for being our weird and wonderful witnesses for the Guinness Book entry!
Viscera-filled victory to Sarah & Lisa for rockin' the registration table & doing the math on those many pledge sheets!!
Kreepy kudos to Chris for frightful filming and photography!!

We'd like to thank our main sponsors again. Without them, why... we likely wouldn't have posters. Or fliers. Or prizes. Yep! We'd pretty much be miserable. So go in and give them the business! Or rather- give them SOME business. Woo! Click 'em for more info.

Meet Cassie, recipient of the 'Most Convincing Undead' award from the September 29, 2007 walk through downtown Royal Oak. Considering we had around 200 zombies, that is quite the accomplishment! Congrats Cassie, and thanks for joining us!
